In 1987 Sundt was awarded 450 family housing units at Clark Air Base by the U.S. Government on a design and construct basis, a further 560 houses followed. During this time Sundt also built the Parallel Runway at Clark. These projects were completed approximately 3 months prior to the eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Following the eruption Sundt assisted the U.S. Airforce to dig themselves out of the ash and packed them out.

The U.S. Navy then asked Sundt to replace several buildings at Subic, which had been destroyed by the eruption, the U.S. Navy expected to operate Subic for a further 10 years. Sundt completed this project well within the schedules required by the Navy, in some cases in half the allocated time.

When the Philippine senate voted against the retention of the U.S. bases, Sundt again stepped in and assisted with the packing out. Sundt also took over the public works function within Subic right up to turn over of the base to the Philippine Government.

In conjunction with Tierra Construction, Sundt then performed various constructions within Manila including housing.

In 1994 Sundt formed a partnership to construct the Mimosa Resort, again within Clark Field. Manpower peaked at 4,500 Filipino craftsmen, Engineers and Laborers with 3 ex-pats running the management.

Works completed included hotels, housings, health center, fun house, various restaurant's, roads, water services, drainage, sewage treatment plant, 9 golf course, casino convention center work went on at a furious pace until the economic crisis dried up the owners source of funding and work ceased.

Philippine-Sundt then started work on a variety of project throughout Luzon, including, Baguio, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Clark, Manila, Laguna and Cavite with clients such as Caesars Palace, Rockwell, Raytheon, Purina/Tyson Foods and Aboitiz, Amkor, Intel, PLDT, Shangri-La Plaza Shopping Mall, HatchAsia, The U.S. Embassy, Voice of America, Yats International, Mandarin Hotel, DHL Worldwide Express (Phils) Corp., Rolls-Royce, Clearwater Country Club, Hidden Vale Golf & Country Club, Philexcel Industrial, IT Bldg., Admin. Bldg. & Smart Shirt Canteen & Locker Bldg., and the Casino Español at Cebu City.
